
Following the official launch of the Busoga planting season by the Katukiro of Busoga Kingdom, Owek. Dr. Joseph Muvawala, the BCD Director General Mula Anthony has paid a visit to Prince Henry Mitala Woira, the leader of the royals (Isabalangira of bugabula chiefdom of Busoga Kingdom in regards to boosting agricultural productivity in Bugabula Chiefdom.
The visit focused on boosting agricultural productivity in Busoga. The DG expressed delight at the impressive work being done in soya cultivation by the Isabalangira in the Kamuli community and pledged his full support towards facilitating good productivity of the Royal’s farm.

On behalf of the BCD, the DG handed over a 25kg bag of MAKSOY N6 Soyabean variety and fertilizers to the Prince to support the expansion of his Soybean farm.
The dream of Prince Woira is to complement the works of His Majetsy William Gabula Nadiope’s vision of guiding the people of Bugabula Chiefdom and Busoga at large out of poverty.
Later, he visited the Vice District Chairperson of Kamuli, Mrs. Sarah Sambya, who is also actively involved in farming. He commended her dedication to agricultural transformation and reaffirmed the Consortium’s commitment to supporting such community-led initiatives across Busoga.
